About Annie

Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about me and my practice. Hats off to you for exploring therapy. You are truly one of the brave. It is not an easy thing to be human and live in such a world as this.  I became a therapist because of my desire to help ease the load for my fellow travelers on this road.

I began my journey toward my current profession as a small child. My parents took us frequently to spend time in nursing homes, sitting with and talking to the older people who lived there. I learned to have respect and empathy for the myriad stories that make a life, and for the sacredness of each person.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Seattle Pacific University in 2003. During my time there, I completed my internship at Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. I went on to pursue my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2007. No doubt due to my childhood experiences with the elderly, I chose to complete my graduate internship with Providence Hospice of Seattle, where I had the immense privilege to be a witness to many beautiful people’s lives as they came to a close.

Most important to me in life are my four sons and my husband, and when I am not working I am doing life with them. I also feel most like myself when writing, doing creative projects, and spending time near the ocean.

I hope to meet you soon and learn what makes you...you!
